I love finding vintage button-ups. They just fit so well, drape just right. Maybe it’s because they’ve had decades to find their most perfect shape. I think know I own too many, but I can’t help myself. I have a problem. It’s been realized.

I wore this out a couple of weeks ago when I signed for my new apartment (ow owwww)! Afterwards, I met up with some friends at a bar and I drank a little more than usual to celebrate my new place of residence… Whoops.

I’m still trying to figure out where to take these fit shots in the new place, but that’s not too high of a priority right now. Instead, I’m just decorating and making this place feel more at home. I’m even really stoked at the fact that I finally got my couch.. weird.

Anyway, I’m also posting at my blog tohelloneighbor.com so visit me there and definitely let me know if you have a blog too! I haven’t really “put myself out there” so let’s link up!

Right now, Texas weather is in limbo. During the day, it’s summer highs and cruel, cruel heat. But once the sun goes down, you find that winter decided to come back for the night only to be gone again by sunrise. It’s worse for me because I absolutely hate being too cold or too hot. And while some people will stick it out for “the sake of fashion” (yes, I am guilty of wearing heeled boots while biking), sweating or shivering for prolonged amounts of time is too uncomfortable for me to bear.

So I’ve come up with a compromise: maxi skirts. I’m a genius.

It’s been a while, guys! I’ve been really busy lately with work and have not had time to work on anything. Just a really simple outfit I wore who knows how many weekends ago. Wearing some of my all time favorite pieces. Check out more at http://sundayybrunch.blogspot.com/.

I wear this color scheme a lot. I also have a lot of striped shirts.

I swore to myself this would be the last inexpensive striped top I’d get before I bit the bullet and invested in a Saint James version. However, I didn’t think this shirt would last as long as it has, so I am patiently waiting for it to shrink or get misshapen (among other things that tend to happen with inexpensive clothing).

Actually, I guess there’s nothing stopping me from proactively driving over to J.Crew and picking it up right now…

My boyfriend and I just finished the third season of Battlestar Galactica. He’s coming to visit me in two weeks and we’ve agreed not to begin the next season until he arrives, which is KILLING me because it left off on such a cliffhanger.

It’s a great show, arguably one of the best I’ve ever seen, so I decided to wear this shirt to pay homage. SO SAY WE ALL!

I wore this a while back when I was feeling under the weather and needed to get out of my apartment because I was going stir-crazy. I think I went out to get soup and a smoothie. Then I felt that my craving wasn’t fully satiated, so I also got a gyro, haha.

When I feel like crap, I usually try to counter it by attempting to look put-together in hopes that this will have a positive effect on my health. I think it worked!

I realized that the only times I am truly dressed the way I love to dress is on the weekends, and particularly on Sundays for brunch. 🙂 BF and I decided to start a YT and blog! I’m still a bit shy about this whole thing, but also really excited to have an outlet for one of the big passions in my life. Its still a HUGE work in progress (really ugly right now), but I have preliminary content and setup…set up. Will have to work on the aesthetics next weekend :/.

Top: Really old, no idea where I got it // Pants: Zara // Watch: Target // Tote: Baggu // Shoes: Converse

I lost my old pair of worn-out Chucks some time ago and never got around to replacing them until now. These shoes just came in a few days ago and I’ve been trying to wear them as much as possible. In this case, I put them on to drop off the deposit for my new place! Excite.

It’s kind of funny because when I was a teenager, I made this rule for myself to never date a guy who had white shoes. I guess I somehow associated them with bad personalities? But look at me now. I would date myself.

Woke up to thunderstorms this morning so I’m putting my trench coat to use! It seems like I wore it every weekend in NYC, but after moving back to Austin the weather is never appropriate. Now that I think about it, this coat has probably never seen the sun. So sad ):
